RESIDENTIAL HOME
Inspired by native Filipino architecture and the greenery around it, this Urban Tree House blends Old Boracay’s organic and laid-back ambience with today’s modern comforts. This island home will transport you back to the good old, carefree days on the island, but with a contemporary twist— air-conditioned rooms, high-speed WiFi, cable television on flat-screen TV’s, hot and cold showers, an in-house safe, washing machine and the newest kitchen appliances. Step into a quiet, undisturbed retreat right in the center of the island. The blend of privacy and tranquility with its prime central location truly makes this space unique.
LIVING SPACES
With three separate living areas, all of which are open-air, the luxury of privacy is guaranteed. Seating areas all around the house allow you to immerse yourself in the native aesthetic and greenery around you. The large trees buffer sound coming from D’Mall or surrounding hotels, so whether you wish for tranquility or are keen on hosting game nights with friends, there is a space to match the social occasion. Originally built in 1987, the living room tastefully retained native accents of wood, rattan and bamboo with upgrades for your comfort.
With a sleek Narra wood dining table to seat 8 guests as well as a buffet table, the dining room overlooks the garden at 180 degrees. On hot days, the full length sliding windows can be closed to create an air conditioned eating space.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you’ll need to host the dinner party of your dreams. Cook up a storm with the five-burner stove, oven and exhaust-hood. Counter and storage space is in abundance, not to mention the double-door fridge and freezer. Other appliances to make your culinary moments easier include a dishwasher, microwave, oven toaster and blender. Home-cooked meals are ready to be enjoyed upon check-in with a large selection of dishware, glassware and cutlery.
OUTDOOR SPACES
The rooftop terrace is the newest and most modern addition to the house. Furnished with a bar area, this is the place to enjoy sunset drinks with your friends. Plenty of sun to tan during the day, while at night, stargazing is a must. Be embraced by the trees reaching 20 meters above the ground to nestle you away from the hustle and bustle.
Nature takes center stage in all areas of the home. The most iconic feature of the garden is the awe-inspiring Balete tree. Estimated to be over 100 years old, it has many stories to tell. Withstanding super typhoons, the tree ultimately fell over after Typhoon Phanfone (Ursula). A true testament to its strength, it simply grew in another direction and continues to amaze guests of the house. Buddha artwork and bamboo lined walls reinforce the Asian-inspired landscaping. The plot also features a herb garden, free for guests to incorporate in their cooking. Nature lovers will absolutely love this tranquil hideaway.
